Recently the Federal court ruled that the LA County Sheriff violated the 4th amendment rights of a homeless couple by shooting them 15 times. The court awarded the couple 4.1 million for the loss of the man’s leg and feeling in his arm, the woman was pregnant. The warrantless search was conducted because Sheriffs had information that a parolee was hiding in that area. The couple other than being homeless had done nothing wrong. The Sheriffs said the man pointed a BB gun at them as justification for the shooting….
