BURUNDANGA BORICUA DEL ZOCOTROCO 2.28.16 “PAULINA PAGÁN PICÓ”

Paulina-Pagan_200El sábado 16 de enero, me sacaron de mi cueva una pareja de seres queridos a quien no puedo negar convites; registro la fecha pues asistimos a un lugar y un evento memorable. La Casa Ruth Hernández es un centro cultural en Rio Piedras, frente a la plaza de recreo de la ciudad universitaria, en memoria de la profesora que la habitó y cuyo legado inspira la gestión que lleva a cabo. Loable es su compromiso de promover la creación, y acogedores son sus espacios, hermosos, diversos y restaurados con acierto. Lugar que sirviera de escenario al talento de Paulina Pagan Picó y el espectáculo: Bestias de Paraíso, Capitulo 1, El Desvelo.

La narración dramática, en sus diferentes manifestaciones, nos presenta un proceso de transformación. La magia se lleva a cabo cuando ese proceso se propone de forma novedosa, cuando nos sorprende por el modo que maneja los recursos de su medio o genero. La representación de Paulina se inicio con la inmovilidad en que la encontramos al llegar, oculta entre las plantas tropicales exuberantes en un lecho de misterio, de donde se movió a un escenario amplio y acogedor, donde las flores se añadieron a sus diarios suspendidos. Ambientación al entorno donde se llevó a cabo una danza que combina lo moderno con lo primitivo, iniciando el impacto emotivo que se sintió en la sala.

Paulina-Pagan2_200El estremecimiento culmina en una segunda parte en que la voluntad, redefine la bestia en el paraíso. Decir como resulta una violación de la norma de no revelar desenlaces y resta a la intimidad de la representación, que bien debe permanecer con el misterio que acompaña lo memorable.

Se me hace difícil ubicar lo que ví esa noche en categorías claras; tuvo elementos de instalación, y performance, danza moderna, canto, interpretación dramática, disección, registro de imágenes y sentimientos. Todas las anteriores aplican en una conjunción singular, imposible de reproducir pues presenciamos una acontecimiento único. Vimos a Paulina transformarse, ante nuestros ojos, dejando al público deslumbrado con la valentía de una entrega, intima e intensa que aviva la expectativa de un próximo capítulo.
Es un inmenso aliento encontrar una juventud talentosa, creativa y comprometida. Renueva la esperanza que a veces se me extravía.

LATINOPIA WORD JOSÉ MONTOYA “PACHUCO PORTFOLIO”
