The late Dr. Shifra Goldman (1926-2011) is considered by many as the foremost scholar and historian of Chicano Art. Beginning in the 1960s, she was instrumental in putting Chicano Art movement on the map through her articles, essays, books, lectures and her mentoring and dialog with Latino artists throughout the United States and Mexico.
