In this third episode of the Ernesto Galarza Story we learn about his efforts to form the first National Farm Labor Union in the United States and how that effort was undermined by the Bracero Program that allowed Mexican laborers to work the crops in the United States. Growers used this program to use braceros as strike breakers. Galarza was eventually able to put an end tot he Bracero program through his expose of abusive labor practices on braceros.
