Alejandro Molina is a poet and member of “Noches Bohemias,” a group of poets from various Latin American countries who meet regularly at the Tia Chucha Cultural Center and bookstore in Sylmar, California. Here he presents a tongue-in-cheek rendering of his Valentine’s Day poem, “San Valentin.” Although translated into English, the humor of the poem stems as much from Alejandro’s delivery as from its use of “Spanglish.”
