Levi Romero is a native New Mexican poet who was named centennial poet for the state in 2012. His poetry collections include “In the Gathering of Silence” (1996), “A Poetry of Remembrances: New and Rejected Works” (2008) and his most recent book which he co-authored, “Sagrado: A Photopoetics Across the Chicano Homeland”(2013). On March 15, 2012, he read, with several other authors and poets, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. His poem is titled “Pancho Villa’s Prayers.”
