Legendary accordionist and Tex Mex music icon Flaco Jiménez grew up listening to the music of his father, Santiago Sr. and of his grandfather, Don Patricio Jiménez. The lives of three generations of Jiménez musicians in many ways is the story of the evolution of the conjunto music tradition in America. Latinopia caught up with Flaco in his home town of San Antonio, and asked him about his early musical influences and how he got his start.
