Quetzal is an East Los Angeles Chican@ band whose music reflects the social, political and cultural struggles of Latinos in the United States and Latin America. On August 24, 2013 they performed their original song “Tragafuegos” (Firebreathers) at the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena. The song is about street performers who subsist on handouts from people who watch them fill their mouths with gasoline and then spurt it out in plumes of flames.
