Set in a Chicano barrio, Luis Alfaro’s adaptation of the Greek play Electra, by Sophocles, was first performed at the Mark Taper Forum in 2005. Here we present a short piece from a current production of the play, Electricidad,, at the University of La Verne’s Dailey Theater. This production is directed by acclaimed actress and director Alma Martinez and features actresses Giuliana Gutierrez and Jessica Bias. play dates are April 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 at 7:30 pm and May 1 at 2pm.
