This week Mark Guerrero welcomes George Delgado, guitarist and founding member of The Premiers, the first East L.A. band to have a national hit record. “Farmer John” reached #19 in 1964. They subsequently went on a Dick Clark tour with artists such as The Supremes and England’s Dave Clark 5 and another with East L.A.’s Cannibal & the Headhunters where they opened for The Rolling Stones, Kinks, and Zombies.
