THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: ISMAEL RODRÍGUEZ ON TANTAI TEATRO, MARIO ACEVEDO ON HIS VAMPIRE UNIVERSE, BARBARA ZARAGOZA ON LUCIANA CORRALES, BURUNDNAGA BORICUA ON THE LIBERATOR,A NEW SERENDIPITY PHOTO OF THE MONTH AND ANGELA ORTIZ WITH “ART AND ARCHITECTURE”
Two provocative videos this week. We visit with Tantai Teatro, a Puerto Ricna theaster company based in San Juan. Director Ismael Rodríguez tells us the ocmpany has been performing in Puerto Rico since 2007. Latinopia caught up with them in October of 2014 when they visited Los Angeles for Encuentro 2014, a festival of Latino Theater. Also this week, we visit with mario Acevedo, the author of numerous novels involving detective Felix Gómez. Oh, did I mention that he is also a vampire?
Our Bogotá–based blogger Julio Medina Salazar returns with his Serendipity Photo of the Month. This month he takes a look at an eerie graveyard in Peru. Barbara Zaragoza returns with her monthly blog, South Bay Compass, this time she tells us all about Luciana Corrales, a remarkable Latina from San Ysidro, California.
Angela Ortiz’s photo this week is titled “Art and Architecture.” Check it out and you’ll see why.
Enjoy!
