FRANK SIFUENTES REMEMBRANCE.
Tia Tenopia is very sad this week. The Latino writing community lost a pioneering writer and community activist, Frank Sifuentes. This week we have a Latinopia Hero devoted to Frank as his friends remember him. Also Latinopia filmed Frank Sifuentes reading one of his “cuentos” at the 2012 Flor y Canto Literary Festival held at USC and organized by Michael Sedano. So we offer both of these in memory of our departed friend.
We also have a book review by Luis Torres of Tomás Rivera’s classic “Y no se lo trago la tierra,” (And the earth did not devour him). This is another in our on-going review of the classics of American Latino Literature. And we have blogs by Sara Inés Calderón, another in the on-going adventures of Arnie and Porfi in Arizona and w find out if Zombie Mex Lazaro will be doing time for the robbery that he had nothing to do with.
Enjoy this week on Latinopia.com
