METRO MURALS, LOVE & MARRIAGE, TED CRUZ & THE TEA BAGGERS AND MORE!

Hey,hey Latinopians! Your Tia Tenopia with another week of cool videos and blogs.  Our videos this week are in ART and LITERATURE. In art we visit once again with artist Sonia Romero who is making quite a name for herself. In a previous video we watched her at work and learned about the themes of her printmaking. In this week’s video we turn to her public art side and explore her stunning mural work, including the awesome “Urban Oasis” mural at the MacArthur Park Metro Station.

Our other video this week features author and poet Thelma Reyna.  Thelma is the author of several poetry collections and the award-winning “The Heavens Weep For Us and Other Stories.” Check her out as she reads her poetry at the Altadena public library.

Of course our regular bloggers return. Angela Ortiz with another photo in her Photo of the Week blog, this one is “Water Lily.” And Sergio Hernandez brings u another commentary on the current Washington D.C. tonterias. Check his view on what needs to happen to Ted Cruz and the Tea Party zealots.
