THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: LA BURUNDANGA del ZOCOTROCO…WHAAA? YOGA TALKS WITH JULIE CARMEN, SERENDIPITY WITH JULIO MIRANDA, A MERRY ARNIE AND PORFI CHRISTMAS WITH SERGIO HERNANDEZ AND BEST OF LATINOPIA MUSIC VIDEOS!
This week we proudly welcome two new bloggers to Latinopia. From San Juan, Puerto Rico we initiate the first of José M. Umpierre’s monthly blog, “Burundanga Boricua del Zocotroco.” Gugo, as he is known to his friends, is a Puerto Rican film critic based in San Juan. He will be bringing us news, in Spanish, from Puerto Rico and insights into Boricua and Latino film and culture. And some of you may be wondering about the handle “Burundange Boricua del Zocotroco.” Well, check out his blog where he explains it all!
Also, later this week, we will be featuring the first of Julie Carmen’s health and physical fitness blogs, “Yoga Talks with Julie Carneb.” Pa que sepas, Julie is an accomplished actress, licensed family therapist and yoga therapist. She’ll be contributing monthly to Latinopia on issues of health, fitness as well as the arts. In this first video blog she looks at how yoga can help people with mental depression.
Julio Medina returns with his “Serendipity” photo blog, this month looking at a different kind of Romeo and Juliet. Sergio Hernández also returns with his regular Arnie and Porfi cartoon strip. This week he gives us an usual take on Christmas.
Because it’s the end of the year, your Tia Tenopia thought we’d remind our Latinopians of some of the cool music videos you may have missed during this year.
Enjoy your week on Latinopia!
