Hola my Latinopians! This week on Latinopia we remember the many Americans who gave their lives in the defense of our nation. We are reposting videos of Latinos from the oral history project created by Dr. Maggie Rivas Rodriguez out of the University of Texas at Austin. Also this week we are proud to showcase a new and important film by Carlos Melendez and Mauricio Mendoza, “After School” which explores the tragedy of the sexual abuse of children. We encourage you to see this film when it comes to a theater near you. Sergio Hernández brings us a poignant cartoon commemorating Memorial Day. This is a week to be thoughtful and grateful at Latinopia.
