THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: ALBERTO RIOS, PAT MORA AND LUIS J. RODRIGUEZ READING FROM THEIR WORKS!
Hello to all you Latinopians out there! This week your Tia Tenopia is showcasing three of our great Chicano poets Arizona’s Alberto “Tito” Rios, New Mexico’s Pat Mora. And Californnia’s Luis J. Rodriguez. Each reads one of their classic poems. Alberto remembers his childhood experiences of confronting death for the first time in “Returning to the Cat.”
Pat Mora, who grew up in New Mexico and loves the desert, pays homage to mother earth in her poem, “Mi Madre.”
Luis J. Rodríguez, author of the acclaimed, “Always Running” reads his autobiographical poem about drug addiction, “Concrete River.” These are savvy and thoughtful works not to be missed!
Enjoy this week on Latinopia!
