THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: RAMÓN GARCÍA READS FROM THE CHRONICLES, RICARDO ROMO’S TEJANO REPORT ON THE ART OF JORGE ROJO, AMALIA ORTÍZ READS “I REMEMBER,” AND ANDREA GUTIÉRREZ ON “HOW TO GROW OLD.”
This week Latinopia looks at poetry. We begin with Ramón García reading from his recent collection The Chronicles. He reads here the poems Sleeping Beauty and Marilyn. We also feature the poetry of Amalia Ortíz as she reads her poem “I Remember,” and last but not least we showcase Andrea Gutiérrez reading her poem, “How to Grow Old.”
And, of course, Dr. Ricardo Romo’s Tejano Report looks at the art work of Jorge Rojo, who not only is an inspired artist but also a cultinary master who has created his Ro Jo Restaurant in San Antonio.
Enjoy your week of art, food and poetry on Latinopia!
