THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: MORE LATINO SCIENCE FICTION! DAVID BOWLES ON LORDS OF THE EARTH, MARIO ACEVEDO ON THE NYMPHOS OF ROCKY FLATS, ERNIE HOGAN ON HIGH AZTECH AND RUDY CH. GARCIA ON THE CLOSET OF DISCARDED DREAMS AND JESÚS TREVIÑO READS ARRULLO.
Hola! Last week we posted interviews with a group of Latino science fiction writers commenting on the status of Latinos writing in the science fiction genre. This week we continue with our look at Latino science fiction with interviews with five prominent writers of science fiction and fantasy: David Bowles, Mario Acevedo, Ernie Hogan and Rudy Garcia and Jesús Treviño. Some, like David Bowles, also write in other genres including young adult fiction and poetry. While others like Ernie Hogan focus primarily on the science fiction genre and still others veer toward fantasy, mystery or horror such as Mario Acevedo and Rudy Garcia and Jesús Treviño.
All in all these authors reflect mind expanding forays into fiction that extends beyond many of the strictures that have previously defined Latino literature. Which is another way of saying there are no limits to the Chicano imagination.
So sit back and enjoy these stimulating and thought-provoking interviews with five distinguished authors.
Enjoy your week on Latinopia!
