THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA:THE FABULOUS SINKHOLE! BURUNDANGA BORICUA ON THE COSTS AND BENEFITS OF TURNING 80, PROFE QUEZADA ON FOOTPRINTS OF COURAGE: CHICANO CIVIL RIGHTS HISTORY AND RICARDO ROMO’S TEJANO REPORT ON JACINTO GUEVARA’S DEPICTIONS OF BARRIO LIFE.
This week we are happy to announce an original Latinopia video The Fabulous Sinkhole. The four minute video is based on Jesús Treviño’s short story by the same name. What makes this video particularly exciting is that it is an a.i. generated video. The music, narration and an actor voice involve human beings but for the most part much of the video is a.i. generated.Once you have seen it, especially the end, you ‘ll see why this video could only have made using a.i. Check it out!
José Umpierre’s Burundanga Boricua returns. This week he take a thoughtful look at the pros and cons of turning eighty. As usual Umpierre’s words are wise and thoughtful.
Also this week, El Profe Quezada reminds us of fifty years of Chicano civil right history as he highlights some key places and events that made up that illustrious history. Thank you Profe for reminding us of what should be common knowledge for every Chicano and Mexicano living in the United States!
And last but not least, Ricardo Romo’s Tejano Report returns with a look at the art of Jacinto Guevara which captures daily barrio life in a unique way.
Enjoy your week on Latinopia. And be sure to share the link to the Fabulous Sinkhole video with your friends!
