This week we are still reeling from the aftermath of the terrible fires in Southern California. Ricardo Romo gives us a look at how some Latino artists and art lovers were affected by the fires.
Also this week, actor Richard Yñiguez recalls his experiences in the making of the 1975 made-for-television movie The Deadly Tower. The film is about the massacre that occurred at the university tower in Austin, Texas in 1966 which left 14 people dead and 31 people injured. Richard portrayed Officer Ramiro Martinez who, in real life, was the officer who brought the carnage to an end by killing the shooter. Check out Richard’s fascinating account.
Sal Baldenegro returns with his Political Salsa y Mas column. This week he looks at Trump’s Deportation Decrees. Sal reminds us that this is not the first time mass deportations of Mexicans and other Latinos has taken place in the United States.
