THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: COMIDA FOR THE HOLIDAYS: LA TAMALADA, CAPIROTADA RECIPE, GREEN CHILE RECIPES AND QUETZAL WITH “VOCES.”
It’s the end of the year and as always we celebrate it with great food. This year many of us can’t be with the ones we love because of the pandemic. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make some good holiday food to cheer ourselves up! So here we present recipes on how to make three holiday favorites, tamales, capirotada and of course, some great recipes for food you can make with green chile. So check out these food videos and have some food fun!
Also this week, we visit with Arizona poet Alberto “Tito” Rios as he reads his original poem, “The Theater of the Night.”
And lastly, the East Los Angeles group Quetzal performs their original song, “Voces” ( Voices) inspired by a march for human rights in downtown Los Angeles. Listen to this great performance featuring lead vocalist Martha Gonzalez.
Stay safe and enjoy your week on Latinopia!
