Hola Latinopians! This week we celebrate all things Irish and specifically the important of the Irish Chicano/Mexico connection. We begin with a thoughtful piece by our regular blogger Salomón Baldenegro on the significance of the Irish/Chicano nexus. Our regular artist and cartoonist in residence Sergio Hernández has created an original and stunning work of art celebrating the San Patricios, and for those of you who don’t know anything about the San Patricios, don’t miss Mark Day’s film clip on the story of the San Patricio Batallion.
