This week Sal Baldenegro returns with his Political Salsa y Más column. This week he looks at the celebration everyone in will be enjoying this week-end–Mother’s Day! Sal gives us a little history of the holiday and the good and bad that has survived since it was officially sanctioned by President Woodrow Wilson in 1914.
Ricardo Romo’s Tejano Report looks at the Luminarias art exhibit in San Antonio and, in particular, the work of abstract artist Joe Luna. Joe was clearly influenced by Picasso’s cubist period as his geometrical and flamboyant colors attest.
