Hola mi gente! Your Tia Tenopia here with another week of Latinopia. This week we get a thoughtful look at Latino health in the time of pandemic with Ricardo Romo’s Tejano Report. Ricardo informs us of the Latino health paradox (we’re actually better off than we thought) and the urgent need for Latino medical professions.
This week marks the 20th anniversary of the first broadcast of the Showtime drama series, Resurrection Blvd, the first English language national drama series to feature an all Latino cast. On Saturday, July 11th, Executive Producer Dennis Leoni will host an online of the Resurrection Blvd cast. You can access it by going to Hispaniclifestyle.com This week we feature an interview with Dennis Leoni talking about how he came to create the series and with actor Mauricio Mendoza talking about his experiences on the show.
