What up, people! This week we visit with Susan Racho, acclaimed producer of numerous PBS documentaries and part of the producing team that created the landmark series, CHICANO! History of the Mexican American Civil Rights Movement. Susan gives us the lowdown on how she came to produce the riveting one hour episode “Taking Back the Schools.” Also this week, poet and short story writer Andrea Gutíerrez reads from her short story “How to Grow Old,” a passage published in the Huizache literary journal.
This week we also bring you music. We visit with Fermin Herrera founder of the traditional jarocho group, El Conjunto Hueyapan.
