This year marks the 60th anniversary of the 1965 United Farm Worker’s march from Delano to Sacramento, California. Regular blogger Eduardo Díaz reports on the celebration of this historic event at the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. The celebration featured performances by Augustín Lira, co-founder of El Teatro Campesino, and his musical group Alma. This week we complement Eduardo’s blog with a video of Dolores Huerta remembering the historic march, and a musical performance by Augustín Lira, Patricia Wells Solóranzano and Merlinda Espinosa “Libertad.”
