THIS WEEK ON LATINOPIA: ANGELA AND EMILIO WITH A TRIBUTE TO TATCHO MINDIOLA, RICARDO ROMO’S TEJANO REPORT ON LATINO ART GAINING NATIONAL ACCLAIM, MARK GUERRERO’S EAST L.A. MUSIC STORIES WITH WILLIE LOYA AND LOUIE PEREZ ON LOS LOBOS.
This week we continue with recognizing the late Chicano historian and founder of Chicano Studies Tatcho Mindiola with a personal tribute by Dr. Angela Valenzuela and Dr. Emilio Zamora, both personal friends of Dr. Mindiola. They offer us more insight into his legacy.
Also this week Ricardo Romo returns with his Tejano Report. This week he looks at the way in which Chicano art and artists are gaining national attention. Once again Dr. Romo makes the efforts of these Chicano artists come alive.
And musician and songster Mark Guerrero returns with his East L.A. Music Stories with an interview with musician Willie Loya of the group Califas.
And last but not least, Latinopia visits with Louie Perez of Los Lobos as he speaks about how the group got its start. Fascinating history!
Enjoy week on Latinopia!
