BURUNDANGA BORICUA 2.14.16 “PASION POETICA”

Pasión Poética/ las coincidencias marcan el camino

Couple-in-love3PD_200El tema erótico, que nunca pasa desapercibido, se allega a mis manos en dos lecturas de feliz consonancia con el mes de febrero, en que celebramos el amor. El texto de Esther Perel The Secret of Desire in Long Term Relations en TED tv y el libro La Ruta de la Seda…de tu piel de Jose E. Muratti Toro se combina de forma, cuanto menos sugestiva.

Propone la investigadora Perel que la condición humana esta sujeta al conflicto entre dos necesidades básicas: la de hogar y jornada; el matrimonio y la aventura, lo consabido familiar y el misterio de lo desconocido, la seguridad y la incertidumbre, lo reiterado y lo novedoso, lo que se tiene (si es que eso es posible) y lo que se desea (que no hay duda de que existe), las realidades y las fantasías. Cosa lamentable que estas necesidades choquen como fuerzas antagónicas y que una tienda a eclipsar y mitigar la otra.

Couple-in-Love2PD_200Las parejas y relaciones que se sobreponen renovando el deseo, adjunto a la estabilidad del amor de día a día, son las que cultivan la imaginación como la llave para activar una pasión prioritaria, latente, siempre incipiente; ese estado de alerta dispuesto en que la seducción se renueva al consumarse el más reciente orgasmo.

Y entonces mi amigo José Enrique, el Día de Reyes, me regala su libro más reciente de poemas, de los que incluyo apenas unas lineas de muestra:

y yo velo tus sueños.

Vuelo en ellos,
las yemas de mis dedos
sobre la punta de tus alas,
el batir de nuestros brazos
como aspas de un molino
a prueba de lanzas y corduras;
nuestros cuerpos, una quimera:
mitad flama, mitad viento;
mitad lluvia, mitad trueno;
mitad ave, mitad cielo.

Sin presunción alguna de critico literario y plenamente consciente del color innegable que tiñe el afecto fraternal por el autor, renuncio a todo reclamo de objetividad (si es que eso existe, sobre todo para la poesía). Puedo afirmar sin pudor, que el texto de Couple-in-love4PD_200José Enrique es un testimonio elocuente al espíritu romántico; prueba indudable que, a pesar de los embates del cinismo y de estos tiempos modernos, que le adjudican tan poca importancia, sigue ardiente en la imaginación de los irredentos.

Y digo más, es un ejercicio que nos regala su imaginación para capturar la magia del deseo, y el desafío de mantenerlo vigente. Sirven para comunicar esa combinación exquisita de ternura con pasión, pasión con ternura que pone sonidos al deseo y cultiva la ensoñación. De esos versos que se escogen para susurrar al oído del ser querido el día de los enamorados.

LATINOPIA WORD JOSÉ MONTOYA “PACHUCO PORTFOLIO”

José Montoya is a renowned poet, artist and activist who has been in the forefront of the Chicano art movement. One of his most celebrated poems is titled “Pachuco Portfolio” which pays homage to the iconic and enduring character of El Pachuco, the 1940s  Mexican American youth who dressed in the stylish Zoot Suit.
