In this second episode of the Ernesto Galarza Story we learn of Galarza’s work as a diplomat and ombudsman to Latin American countries during World War Two and how this led to his being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigations seeking to label him as a communist subversive. We also learn of Galarza’s efforts to form the first National Farm Labor Union, a 1940s precursor to the United Farm Workers that Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta would create in the 1960s.
