Hola mi gente! Your Tia Tenopia is still reeling from the results of last week’s election. And so are our Latinopia bloggers. Sal Baldenegro returns with his Political Salsa y Más column, this week he looks at the justification given by many Latinos for voting for Trump: the price of eggs! Sal points out that these misguided Latinos got one thing right with them there does seem to be a scarcity of huevos!
Also this week, José “Gugo” Umpierre gives us a considered a thoughtful response to the Trump victory. He warns us of what to expect but offers some first aid suggestions. As usual Gugo is right on! By the way, this blog marks ten year’s that José M. Umpierre has been blogging for Latinopia! Que Chévere! FELICITACIONES!
And Ricardo Romo weighs in on a new exhibit showcasing the work of acclaimed master of the art, Cesar Martinez. We also post a video to remind yoU of the great work Cesar has accomplished and why he is one of the founding members of the Chicano art movement in America.
Enjoy your week on Latinopia and remember Gugo’s admonition: Let nothing trouble you. Let nothing frighten you. Everything passes.
Your Tia Tenopia (still reeling!)
