This is an exciting week on Latinopia! We are launching our Latinopia podcasts. We begins this week with two podcasts. Louie Perez of the music group Los Lobos has written a book titled Good Morning Aztlán and he has published a CD featuring narrative and musical interpretations of his written words by a variety of musicians, actors and writers. Latinopia will be posting the CD in four parts, totaling more than two hours of recorded sounds. Check out the first two volumes of the podcast Good Morning Aztlán – Dawn and Good Morning Aztlán – Noon.
Also this week, Mark Guerrero posts his most recent podcast of Chicano Music Chronicles. This week he interviews .
Dr. Alvaro Huerta returns with his Fierce Politics blog. This week he reflects on the mentorship of distinguished urban planner Dr. Leo Estrada and the lessons that Huerta learned from him which he now passes on to new generations of Latinos.
Also this week acclaimed author Alejandro Morales will be speaking about his novel the Brick People at the Stanford Literary Club. We are posting a clip form the documentary aBout his novel on Latinopia Showcase and also a recent interview with Morales for those of you who won’t be bale to attend the Stanford book club meeting.
